For the preparation of density gradients

PureSperm 100 is a sterile colloidal silica suspension in an isotonic salt solution. It is optimized for the preparation of density gradients used to separate and purify human sperm from semen for use in Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART). This system effectively separates normal sperm from lymphocytes, epithelial cells, abnormal, immature and senescent sperm, cell debris, bacteria and seminal fluid.

Ready-diluted to save gradient preparation time.

All the advantages of a PureSperm 100 gradient, plus ready-diluted to save preparation time. PureSperm 40, PureSperm 80 in both 100mL & 20mL and PureSperm 90 in 100mL, are formulated to minimize sudden pH and osmolarity changes during the transition of sperm from the semen sample to the fertilization medium. This helps to avoid premature hyperactivation and improves fertilization potential.

Maximize sperm survival during density gradient centrifugation.

PureSperm Buffer is designed specifically for two functions; first as a balanced salt solution for diluting PureSperm 100 to make up two layers of different densities for the gradient, and secondly, to reduce viscosity in the semen sample. The formula of PureSperm Buffer is optimized for maximum sperm survival  and greatest yield during density gradient centrifugation.

A three-in-one product.

PureSperm Wash is a three-in-one product. It is optimised for washing the sperm pellet recovered after density gradient preparation, for use in swim-up procedures, for extending the sperm prior to Intra Uterine Insemination(IUI), and as a maintenance medium.

The ProInsert reduces the time for sperm preparation to one half. It also reduces the risk for recontamination when retrieving the sperm pellet.

During preparation of sperm from a semen sample using a density gradient separation, the ProInsert facilitates the gradient preparation and the pellet retrieval, reduces the risk of recontamination during retrieval of sperm pellet, and reduces the time for completing a density gradient preparation of a semen sample, including sperm retrieval, by almost half (comparison table in leaflet). Recommended for use with Nidacon products.

An alternative method, the UniLayer filtration of semen, of preparing human sperm for IUI

Many clinicians in small clinics or private practices are looking for a safe and effective method of preparing sperm for intra-uterine insemination. They are unsure of their ability to layer a density gradient correctly to achieve optimal results. However, they also know that a “swim up” does not remove sperm with abnormal morphology or damaged DNA, and does not separate out bacteria and viruses from the sperm preparation.
